£4.50
A very nicely made incense holder made of porcelain with a black gloss glazed finish and a printed spirit board design. There's a central planchette motif in white and other design elememnts - part of the alphabet section and medallions depicting the sun and the moon - are in a silver grey.
The holder is 255mm (10 inches) long and 38mm (1 and 1/2 inches) wide.
There is a hole to take an incense stick in the raised end, but incense cones could be placed anywhere along the surface of the holder.
The ouija board, also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0–9, the words "yes", "no", "hello" (occasionally), and "goodbye", along with various symbols and graphics. It uses a planchette (small heart-shaped piece of wood or plastic) as a movable indicator to spell out messages during a séance. Participants place their fingers on the planchette, and it is moved about the board to spell out words.
