A hand-crafted bracelet made from silver-coated copper wire using a Viking knit technique. The bracelet is finished with decorative conical end caps and a silver metal toggle clasp.
Viking knitting is an ancient craft used for fashioning jewellery from finely-drawn metal wires.
The bracelet is 200mm (20cm or 8 inches) long.
Examples of this technique have been found in archaeological sites in Scandinavia and also in the British Isles. Many of these date back to at least the 9th and 10th centuries, the time of the Viking settlements in Britain.
