A raven perches on a naturalistic skull in this very Edgar Allan Poe style ornament. Cast in resin and finely detailed, as you can probably see better in the pictures on the image carousel.

In Irish mythology ravens are associated with warfare and the battleground in the figures of Badb and the Morrígan. The Morrígan alighted on the hero Cú Chulainn's shoulder in the form of a raven after his death.
