The sculpture is 215mm (21.5cm or 8 and 1/2 inches) high and 200mm (20cm or 8 inches) nose to tail.
The hare then is associated with the Moon and the Sacred Fire and Spring, and also with the dawn and more importantly, with the coming of light. The Saxon goddess Eoster or Ostara's name is thought to mean "dawn", so when we celebrate Easter, we are celebrating the dawning of life. Of course Eostere's attendant animal was the hare. The hare then is also all about new beginnings, rejoicing at the rebirth of life and the full potential in store for us ahead.
