A fabulous goblet with a profile of a unicorn against a purple ground. Details of the decorative mouldings are picked out in silver and the stem of the goblet is decorated with purple jewels. The unicorn motif is repeated three times around the bowl of the goblet.
The goblet is beautifully made from a heavy and durable cast resin with a finely detailed finish. It's lined with a stainless steel insert, which detaches for easy cleaning. You can see a picture of the inside if you look on the image carousel.
It measures 19cm (7 and 1/2 inches) tall and 95mm (9.5cm or 3 and 3/4inches) wide across the top of the metal insert.
The unicorn, a legendary creature usually depicted with the body of a horse, but with a single, usually spiral, horn growing out of its forehead, is one of the most revered mythical beasts of all time. Appearing in numerous cultures, the unicorn has come to be a symbol of purity and beauty, and is one of the few mythical creatures not associated with violence, danger, and fear.
