Wildwood Green Man Goblet
£16.00
This Wildwood goblet has a face appearing from the bark and leaves of a tree.
It's very much in the spirit of the traditional Green Man or spirit of the woodland. There are more pictures if you look on the image carousel; there's the goblet from different angles, plus a close-up of the face. There's a picture, too, of the foot, so you can see how beautifully it's been sculpted to look like the roots of an ancient tree.
The goblet is made from heavy cast resin and hand finished, and the metal inner can be removed, making it easy to clean.
It is 170mm (17cm or 7) tall.
"To enter a wood is to pass into a different world in which we ourselves are transformed. It is no accident that in the comedies of Shakespeare, people go into the greenwood to grow, learn and change. It is where you travel to find yourself, often, paradoxically, by getting lost." - From "Wildwood: A Journey Through Trees" by Roger Deakin.
