The pans of the scales are attached using real chains, so they hang balanced from the silver bar. Beautifully detailed. It has a brass hook for hanging and the back is also covered in black velvet to protect your walls.

The Chaldeans are an ancient people who lived in Chaldea (which was located in the marshy land of the far southeastern corner of Mesopotamia) circa 800 BC and ruled Babylonia 625–539 BC. They were renowned as astronomers and astrologers.
