A lovely holder for cone incense in the shape of a stylised goddess figure. Beautifully cast in heavy silver metal with spiral decoration to both sides.
The incense goes inside the pan at the top, and is covered by the perforated dome, which is separate. If you remove the dome, this can also be used as a candle holder. You can see the holder without the top if you look on the image carousel.
The holder (the goddess part) is 155mm (15.5cm or 6 inches) high. The whole assembly, when the top is added, is 230mm (23cm or 9 inches) high.
The spiral is a motif often seen on goddess figures, and represents the universal pattern of growth and evolution. It symbolises eternity and continuity.
