Celtic Cross Patonce Pewter Pendant
£4.55
An equal-armed cross, symbol of the four elements in balance. Patonce is the name used in heraldry for a cross where the ends of the arms are trifurcated. I never knew that before today, and I'm prepared to wager you probably didn't either.
An equal-armed cross, symbol of the four elements in balance.
Made from nickel-free pewter.
The pendant measures 36mm across x 46mm high (including bail).
Pewter is an attractive metal which has been used for the production of household and other items in Britain since Roman times. It is an alloy of tin, the fourth most valuable metal, and small quantities of other metals, which give strength to the final product.
