Spirit Board Necklace

This is a hand-made necklace with faceted black crystal beads, purple glass beads and a silver metal pendant.
The pendant is shaped and styled like the planchette (the moving pointer) on a spirit board.
The silver metal pendant is 25mm across.
The necklace is 45cm (17 and 3/4 inches) long, and fastens with a silver metal toggle clasp. It also includes glass beads and dark lustre rocaille beads.
Originally, a planchette was a small triangular or heart-shaped board supported on casters at two points and a vertical pencil at a third and believed to produce automatic writing when lightly touched by the fingers. With the development of the ouija board, the same shape was used as a device to point to the letters.
